Programmes Offered

Clinical Officer General

The Clinical Officer General program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and treat common ailments, provide primary healthcare, and support medical teams in various healthcare settings.

  • Entry Requirements: Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level credits or better, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Science (or Physics and Chemistry), and one additional subject.
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Qualification Awarded: Diploma in Clinical Officer General

Environmental Health Technology

This program focuses on training students to prevent and control environmental hazards that affect public health. Graduates play a key role in disease prevention, sanitation management, and promoting community health.

Registered Nursing

What are the entry requirements for admission at KCHSR?

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level credits or better, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Science (or Physics and Chemistry), and one additional subject. Specific programs may have slightly different requirements.

All diploma programs offered at Kafue College of Health Sciences & Research (KCHSR) have a duration of three (3) years. This includes both theoretical and practical training to ensure students are well-prepared for the healthcare industry.

Yes, KCHSR is fully registered and recognized by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ), and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ). The institution is also incorporated by the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA), ensuring that all programs meet national education and healthcare standards.

We have two intakes each year: January/February and June/July. Our academic system operates on a semester basis, with two semesters in each academic year.

Yes. We have a total of seven hostels in operation, with two designated for males and five for females. The male hostels are Rhino and Buffalo, while the female hostels include Cheetah, Lechwe, Impala, Zebra, and Hippo. Each hostel has a specific number of rooms: Rhino and Buffalo each have 24 rooms, Cheetah has 26 rooms, and Lechwe, Impala, Zebra, and Hippo each have 24 rooms.
