Who We Are
Kafue College of Health Sciences & Research is a Private Public partnership (P.P.P) Institution that has been established by three partners i.e Lecturers from Levy Mwanawasa Medical University (LMMU).
The purpose of establishing it is to assist the Government of the Republic of Zambia in training Clinical officer Generals, Environmental Health Technologists, Registered Nurses, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and Biomedical Scientist. These Health Officers are important Frontline Health Cadres (workers) that attend to many common ailments afflicting our people throughout the country.
However, because of population growths and escalating disease burden and need for an educated Zambia, besides limited resources, Government alone has not been able to train enough health practitioners. Hence, this initiative of establishing KCHSR.
Registration & Recognition
KCHSR is a Limited Company Incorporated by the patents and companies Registration Agency (PACRA). Certificate Number 78499. It is recognized by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) to train Clinical Officers, Environmental Health Technologists, Registered Nurses Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and Biomedical Scientist over a three year period.
